TYPES OF BASE
Plywood Base
This is a common type of base. This is the basic type of base that is considered the best with its multi-functionality and balance between quality and price.
The wall thickness ranges from 12t~20t
Kaba wooden base (hard plywood)
It is harder and heavier than the most commonly used plywood.
Used as a base for the punch die from hard material, can strengthen the holding force of the entire knife body.
Usually 16t~18t thick
ABS plastic base
It is a kind of base plate made of plastic and has high durability. Commonly used in molds for cutting food.
Advantages: No sawdust, hygienic. Waterproof. Harder than plywood. Also used as the core of punching holes
Disadvantages: Heavy. Expensive.
Usually 6～20t thick
Acrylic Base
Since it is transparent, you can align the material and the cutting blade easily
And use as a base for Chrome Mold (Pinnacle)
Usually 1～20t thick
PP composition board
It is rarely used for base plate and is mainly used as backing plate and backing board in stamping process
Usually 3~5t thick
